Zoey B. Scheler

I discovered Zoey while browsing the booths at NCECA this year. Her ceramic cups were hard to miss. While taking pictures and admiring the layers of underglaze, the Clay Art Center in Port Chester told me more about her. I found out that she is an artist resident with them in Port Chester, NY. She completed her MFA at Purchase College SUNY in Purchase, NY. Zoey attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, where she received her BFA with an emphasis in ceramics. Following her studies in Brooklyn she attended Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY, obtaining her MSED in K-12 Art Education. Zoey is currently working on small, handheld, intimate, ceramic objects and engaging in a theoretical conversation about clay craft.
