Melissa Villaseñor is the one who draws the card of Dreamer while her friends are either having twins, going to law school, or becoming rock stars. The SNL sketch shows the frustration that so many DACA recipients face. "Dreamers get to jump through bureaucratic hoops, duck from ICE officers and work three jobs just to get by,” the narrator says when Villaseñor draws the Dreamer card.Towards the end of the sketch, Villaseñor is left trying to figure out how to get the money for a lawyer that will help her get a job permit to work to make money. The feeling of hopelessness and defeat is a common theme in the Dreamer narrative. Sad, but true.
